Meet your new Restorative Movement Instructor

Olivia McCrillis PTA

I’m Olivia, a Restorative Movement Specialist. What exactly does that mean? My job is to walk alongside my clients and help them through their movement journey. Whether it’s pain, a chronic diagnosis, or just maintenance, we can create a program that restores parts of our body. I have a degree and national board license as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and a certification in LSVT BIG. My degree gives me an amazing foundation of knowledge of the body. Movement and natural healing techniques are my passion. I can't even begin to explain how much joy it brings me to assist others in their wellness journey. Through my own personal journey, with my mental and physical wellness, I have gained so much knowledge about functional movement and I want to help others feel that freedom from pain, or movement issues. I believe pain is not our enemy, it’s our teacher! What is your body trying to tell you? What is it needing? And how can we help it?

Restorative movement empowers me to live the life I love, without pain.

Outside of the studio you can find me anywhere outdoors, or doing art. I love living in Northern Michigan with my husband Andrew. Whether its having beach bonfires, boating for the day, or hiking out in the Leelanau peninsula, I try to soak up as much fresh air as possible. We are involved with the Traverse City Ultimate Frisbee League, and volunteer to lead at out church’s youth group. Serving the community is something we feel very passionately about, and love every opportunity to do so! Having games nights and hosting dinner parties is how we fill our time when we are not outdoors. We are huge foodies! Mental health is also very important to me. I spend a lot of time listening to podcast, and talking with my counselor to pursue and practice healing techniques.
